Gloucestershire is committed to providing people with choice and control over managing their health conditions which includes offering arts and culture interventions.
Known as ‘social prescribing plus’, this involves supporting people to self-manage their conditions and improve their quality of life, through short-term activities appropriate to their interests and needs.
There are currently projects underway to support adults with persistent pain, mental health needs, respiratory conditions and social isolation and/or loneliness. There are also projects to support children and young people with long term conditions such as epilepsy, type 1 diabetes and persistent pain.
