It was a challenging winter, but our public facing campaigns proved essential in providing health and wellbeing support and advice on healthcare options, achieving excellent reach.

The Stay Well This Winter campaign encouraged people to plan ahead and take practical steps to support their health and wellbeing with access to a wealth of information to support them.

Fifteen of our health, social care, voluntary and community sector partners were at the heart of the campaign, using their expertise to offer top tips and front the topic areas ranging from eating well, staying warm, looking out for others and prioritising mental health to advice on cost of living.

The campaign was well received, with more than 600,000 post views across NHS Gloucestershire social media channels alone (Facebook, X, Instagram) and around 95,000 video views on YouTube.

The Pharmacy First campaign promotes the Pharmacy First service, which can assess and treat patients for seven common conditions without the need for a GP appointment or a prescription from the GP. The campaign includes a different local pharmacist explaining each of the conditions. The campaign videos have been viewed around 35,000 times on YouTube so far, and our pharmacy posts have been shared more than 1,000 times on Facebook since December.

The Click or Call First campaign offers clear, simple, and consistent messaging about the main routes into urgent care, how to get step-by-step advice on the right care for you and raises awareness of individual services and how they can help. In total the campaign has more than 1.5 million views across NHS Gloucestershire social media channels (Facebook, X, Instagram) and more than 3,200 shares of our posts.
